Randy Pittenger has served on the BISD Board of Trustees for Area 4 since 1994, serving as president since 2002. He previously served as president of the Lakewood Elementary PTA, Belton Intermediate PTA, Belton Junior High PTA, and the Belton ISD Council of PTA's.

He graduated from Abilene Christian University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and in 1983 with a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

Mr. Pittenger and his wife, LaGay, who teaches at Lakewood, have three children, Jamie, Jason, and Jana, all of whom graduated from Belton High School. They also now have twin granddaughters.

Mr. Pittenger says, "As Board members, we are entrusted with the task of ensuring a quality public school system that provides our children with opportunities for success. My goals for service are to help build consensus as we ensure a continued commitment to excellence and meeting the BISD motto, Every Kid a Winner . I believe that our Board has successfully adopted the 'team of eight' philosophy and works well together for the good of our children and community."
