The following are the District's Deputy and Assistant Superintendents:

Mrs. Susan Kincannon

Mrs. Susan Kincannon came to Belton in July, 2000, as the principal of Belton Intermediate School and was named as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction in April 2002. She brings experience as an elementary and middle school teacher. She was named to succeed Wayne Carpenter as Deputy Superintendent in June, 2007. She has also worked as a campus administrator for six years at the elementary and secondary level.

Mrs. Kincannon received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Tarleton State University, and is currently pursuing doctoral studies at Baylor University.

Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction

Darrell Becker

Darrell Becker began his career in education as a high school English teacher. He came to Belton in 2004 as the Director of Secondary Curriculum and Instruction. He was named Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction in June 2007. Mr. Becker and the District’s Curriculum Department staff are located at the Educational Development Center, 400 North Wall Street in Belton. He also serves as Belton ISD’s AVID District Director.

Mr. Becker graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Texas Tech University. His Master’s degree is in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Texas at Austin. He is currently pursuing doctoral studies at Baylor University.

HaugebergAssistant Superintendent of Support Services

Eric Haugeberg

Eric Haugeberg graduated from Belton High School and holds a BA in education from Baylor University, a MA from Florida State University in nutrition and exercise physiology, and a MA in education from the University of Texas at San Antonio.   Mr. Haugeberg's professional career began as a science and math teacher and coach at Belton High School.  

Following three years serving as a principal in other districts, he returned to BISD as Director of PEIMS prior to becoming Assistant Superintendent of Support Services.   His duties include responsibility for the District's Alternative Education Program, overseeing building maintenance, school renovation projects, transfer students, and bus transportation.
