Guidance Counseling

Belton Independent School District provides school guidance counselors on every campus to facilitate student academic growth, career awareness, personal growth, and social skill development. School guidance counselors work with students using a variety of strategies, activities, delivery methods, and resources to achieve these goals.

Depending on the developmental stage of the students, guidance counselors provide individual and group activities that promote personal insight, skill development, and social, emotional, and academic competencies to enhance all learning. The objectives are an integral part of the total educational program, and mastery of these personal development objectives places a student well down the road to post-secondary success.
