What Do I Do In An Emergency?

Even in an emergency, if at all possible take time to follow Universal Precautions.

In a school setting, it is reasonable to expect emergencies. Children fall on the playground. Older students are sometimes injured in athletics. Teachers working with lab equipment are at risk for injury. In the event of an emergency within Belton ISD, take time to follow Universal Precautions.

  • All blood or other potentially infectious materials of every person is treated as if known to be infectious
  • Use Personal Protective Equipment
  • Use caution with cleaning up blood (view the movie for additional instruction).
  • Use precaution when cleaning the area, especially when working with broken glass (see movie)
