  • Emphasizes nutritionally sound meals that are acceptable to children.
  • Improves and maintains the health of students through nutritionally adequate, educationally sound, financially accountable, nonprofit school nutrition programs.
  • Encourages united efforts of school nutrition staff, parents, and students to assure that every child has an opportunity to receive the benefits of the child nutrition programs.
