Attendance OfficeThe attendance office provides admit/tardy slips in the morning. If you do not get your admit before school you will be sent out of class to get one and will receive a tardy. The attendance office is located by the front office. AdmitWhen returning to school after an absence, you must bring a note signed by the parent that describes the reason for the absence. A note signed by the student, even with parent’s permission, will not be acceptable and the absence will be considered unexcused. Doctor and dental appointments must be certified in writing by the doctor’s office. You must present the note to the attendance clerks the first day you come back to school, and an admit slip will be issued showing the date and reason for the absence. You must have an admit slip before your teacher will allow you back in class. If you come back to school without a note, you will be given an unexcused absence and make-up work will not be allowed. You will need to arrive early enough to get your admit slip without being tardy to your first period class. If you have to leave class to get an admit slip, you will be counted tardy to that class. Tardy PolicyA student who is tardy to class by more than 10 minutes will be marked as absent. Repeated instances of tardiness will result in more severe disciplinary action. Tardiness means not being in the classroom when the tardy bell rings. Tardiness disrupts instruction for both the tardy student and others in the classroom. Students are given sufficient time to change class, and a warning bell sounds one minute before students are to be in class. Students will receive a discipline referral from the teacher for every third tardy. Tardies are cumulative, and disciplinary consequences will result from repeated tardiness. Assistant principals will determine consequences.
Proof Of EnrollmentA proof of enrollment may be obtained at the attendance counter. You can only get your proof of enrollment during lunch. You may not be absent more than 9 days per semester to receive a proof of enrollment. Related Links
