Belton ISD celebrated Texas Public Schools at the annual Public School Week Breakfast at Tarver Elementary on Tuesday, Mar. 11.


Dr. Vivian Baker, Superintendent, announced the Debbie Potts Scholarship through the Belton Educational Enrichment Foundation in honor of Mrs. Potts' years in education and her retirement at the end of this school year.

Tarver Elementary Dedication was held Sunday, Oct. 28.
The school is located at 7949 Stonehollow in the Westfield addition off 2305 in Temple.

The Belton ISD Swim Team had their first practice in the new Roy and Jean Potts Belton Swim Center on Oct. 17, 2007. The Center was named at the October Board of Trustees Mtg.

Sparta Elementary held the dedication ceremony for the garden established by Dr. Darla Lowe-Middleton in memory of her grandparents, Ray and Maurine Lowe on Friday, Oct. 12, 2007. The garden will serve as an ourdoor learning opportunity for students.

The Belton Educational Enrichment Foundation dedicated its new Alumni and Friends Brick Walkway on Sat., Oct. 6, 2007, at Belton High School. The BHS Orchestra, making its inaugural appearance, provided entertainment. Bricks may still be purchased by contacting the BEEF office and will be placed next summer.

State Representative Dianne White Delisi made a presentation to Leon Heights Elementary for being an Exemplary campus based on th2 2007 TAKS score. Ms. Delisi presented a certificate and flag that has flown over the State Capitol.
