Substitute TeachingBelton ISD Substitutes The mission of the Belton Independent School District is to provide an education that challenges all of our students to excel. To achieve this mission, each day must be filled with successful learning experiences conducted in a positive, nurturing environment. Schools must have effective substitutes who will take the responsibility to ensure that the educational process is not interrupted when the regular teacher is absent. If you are hired as a substitute teacher, you should consider yourself a teacher with the responsibility that goes with the teacher assignment. A Substitute Application may be picked up and returned to the BISD Administration Building, 616 East 6th Avenue, Belton. Application should be complete and have all documentation before it will be processed. (Application is currently not on line) Substitute Orientation is mandatory and will be offered on Thursdays, 1:30 p.m., at the Educational Development Center, 400 North Wall. For more information or questions please call Cindy Wiley, Sub Coordinator, 215-2023; cindy.wiley@bisd.net.
