First Grade

Welcome to first grade! Our goal in education is to have every child within our classrooms reach his/her maximum potential. We want first graders to leave this year with the desire to be lifelong learners. In first grade, we emphasize hands-on activities and small group instruction. We encourage students to become involved in the decision making process in the classroom. We follow the philosophy of Capturing Kids’ Hearts for behavior management. This emphasizes the concept that every child is a team player. Each child is expected to give 100% for the whole team to be successful.
