Fourth Grade

indian

Welcome to fourth grade! It is an exciting year as it marks the beginning of the intermediate level of your child’s school years.

As fourth graders, students are challenged to think creatively, think outside the box, and to think beyond what is expected. The teachers emphasize higher order thinking skills in all subject areas, as well as emphasizing having strong character traits. Through novel studies students are exposed to many life-long lessons which in essence define the importance of being a good citizen.

In an age of technology, it is imperative that children learn to use computers. Through exploration of software programs, students engage in the writing process to produce a published piece of writing, a PowerPoint presentation, and a short movie clip. We want students to leave fourth grade computer savvy!nd engage in life-long learning.
