Suzy McKinney, Principal

Hello, my name is Suzy McKinney, and it is with great pride that I start my 26th year in education as the principal of Lake Belton Middle School. I began my career in middle school where I had the opportunity to teach all grade levels, then, became an assistant principal before leaving to serve as an elementary campus principal. I feel like I have come full circle.

Lake Belton Middle School has a wonderful opportunity for academic and social growth for all students. We are very proud of being an Academically Recognized Campus for the 2007 school year by the state as well as having multiple UIL winners, an active band, choir, theater arts and art departmnts, PALS program, and a variety of sports to participate in to name a few. Joe Brown, Assistant Principal Joe Brown, Assistant Principal

Mr. Joe Brown is one of LBMS' Assistant Principals. He is a graduate with both his bachelor's and master's degrees from Southwest Texas State University. Mr. Brown has spent more than twenty years in education. His wife's name is Tamara, and he has two children, Jourdan and Jamie.

Jason Gilstrap, Assistant Principal

My name is Jason Gilstrap, and I am excited about being the assistant principal at Lake Belton Middle School. I am a graduate of Midwestern State University and Sam Houston State University. I have been in education for ten years. My most resent position was with Connally ISD as the administrator of the alternative campus. My wife, Gail, and I have a three year old daughter, Emily.
