Points of Interest From the President

As the school year begins to wind down, there are still many activities going on at Leon Heights! This is the time of year for field trips, classroom parties, and end of year activities. Your PTA encourages you to continue to be involved during this busy time of year!

We had a very successful raffle and book fair this past month. The proceeds from both of these activities will go directly back to our school! Thanks to Sheryl Simmons and Debbie Sherwood for leading us in these fundraisers!

We will have our April meeting on Tuesday, April 3rd at 6:00. Kindergarten and First Grade will be performing that night. Also, we will be voting for the 2007-2008 PTA officers. I hope to see you there!

Scholastic Book Fair

Our book fair was a huge success! Thanks to everyone who came to the fair! We made a $1,124.87 profit for Leon Heights PTA - up 14% from last year. Our library was able to pick out $412.00 worth of new books. We also thank our book fair volunteers – we can’t have done it without you!
