A Note From Our Principal

Barrett Pollard:

This is my first year as principal of Leon Heights Elementary, and I am extremely excited about the opportunity to work with the students, staff, and parents.  I have been the assistant principal at Southwest Elementary in Belton for the past two years.  I have really enjoyed working in such a great school district and outstanding community.  I am eager to continue all of the great programs at Leon Heights this coming school year.

I have already seen and heard great things at Leon Heights Elementary.  The dedicated faculty and staff at Leon Heights are composed of a talented and caring group of educators.  We will continue to hold high expectations for our students in academics, behavior, and citizenship.  It is my goal to continue to create a safe learning environment for all of the students at Leon Heights.  In addition to a rigorous academic curriculum, Leon Heights offers additional services to facilitate student learning as well as enrich and challenge students.

Located at 1501 North Main Street, Leon Heights is a recognized campus. With approximately 300 students in Pre-Kindergarten through fifth grade, our dedicated and experienced staff works diligently to ensure that each child reaches his/her maximum educational potential.

A strong partnership with parents is crucial in the education of today’s students.  The relationships we build with students, parents, and community members will ensure the future success of our campus.  I encourage our parents to remain active in their children’s education.  We always welcome parent volunteers and appreciate any form of support that is given to our campus.  Our school day begins at 7:45 a.m. and ends at 2:45 p.m.  If you have questions or concerns, please call me at 215-3200.

Sincerely,

Barrett Pollard
