Welcome to Miller Heights Elementary.  I am very excited to be here and I look forward to another great year with a staff and faculty who are excited about educating and caring for our children just as much as I do.

The Legend of Miller Heights
By: Elliot Ahr

Once upon a time in a land near to here,
There was a school run with love, instead of with fear.
The school was full of daily celebrations,
Because its students knew their expectations.

The students weren’t perfect,
But none were left behind,
Because every day everybody promised to Be Kind.

No child was surprised
By his or her report card,
For they knew they were expected to always Work Hard.

Nobody could cheat
Without having to bear,
Their friends saying each morning that it’s right to Play Fair.

The people at the school
Were all sisters and brothers,
Because each knew how to Respect Self and Others.

The building was clean,
The school grounds were trash free;
Each student was taught to Respect Property.

With so many students and so few adults,
Some thought that the prospect was dim,
But the students knew just what to do,
Even When No One Was Watching them.

The school’s name was Miller Heights
Most called it the best in the biz,
But this school was not only the best that there was
It’s also the best that there is.
