Howdy, my name is Tré Ward. I teach 5th Grade Mathematics at Miller Heights. As a former enlisted Marine and Naval officer I have been the world over and have seen and experienced many things, but nothing is more gratifying to me than teaching. I really love my job. The thrilling part for me is when a student comes to me puzzled or confused and walks away enlightened. The change that happens in their mind is immediately transferred to their face - it's the "I got it" look, and it still moves me to watch it happen. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family. My wife, Donna, of 18 years is a 2nd Grade teacher at Tarver Elementary and is studying to become a principal. She graduates from Tarleton State University in December and we could not be more proud of her. We have two boys, Preston (16) and Ethan (14). Preston, a 6' 1" homeschooler, is a Junior with Keystone National High School and would love to take your order at Big Chew-Chew's where he is currently employed. When he is not taking orders, he is working on restoring his baby - a 1976 Chevy Camaro. Ethan, a 6' 2" Varsity swimmer, is a Freshman at Belton High. When he's not in school or in the pool, he's eating or sleeping. Our other family members include three cats (Tigress, Butterscotch, & Fancy) and two dogs (Daisy & Jack).
