Nurse Information

                     white

I am Mrs. White RN, school nurse at Miller Heights Elementary.

This is my 16th year as a school nurse at Miller Heights.

Taking care of daily illnesses and injuries is just a small part of the school nurse job. Prevention is the main focus of the school health services. In the nurse's office I believe that my students will learn better when they are healthy.  A healthy lifestyle is important to being successful and enjoying life.

The school nurse is mandated by the State of Texas to enforce the immunization requirements for school enrollment, to do vision and hearing screenings for specific grades, and to do spinal screening for specific grades also. Parents are notified in case of follow-up needs if a student has not passed a screening test.

Nurse's office hours: 7:25 AM to 3:00 PM.
