Gil

Howdy!  My name is Jennifer Gilchriest and this is my second year teaching Life Skills at Miller Heights, and fourth year teaching special education.  Besides teaching, I am currently going to grad school at Texas A&M University.  Gig 'Em Ags!  I will receive my Master’s degree in Educational Psychology, emphasis in Low Incidence Disabilities.  I graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, where I played basketball for four years.  I don't have any kids, but my Pekingese and my hedgehog are like my children.  I have a fantastic boyfriend who is a soldier for the U.S. Army.  He is extremely supportive of my career and furthing my education.  I love to play sports, read, paint, and be outside.  I believe that no matter what has happened in your life, there is hope for the future.  I also have seen up front, through my brother, what dedication and hard work can do to improve a student's life and future.  Every child can learn, no matter what.
