Southwest Elementary has been awarded a $99,995 technology lending program grant by the Texas Education Agency. The funds will be used to provide an iPad mini with a protective case for each fourth and fifth-grade student. The grant will also allow the campus to purchase mobile hotspots that can provide internet access for students without access at home.
The Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) representative is coming to BHS to meet with students and parents to discuss the department's transition services. Any high school student with a disability who may need vocational guidance and assistance in pursuing employment after high school should consider completing the referral process for DARS.
