Hello,
This is my 8th year teaching. I have taught in Waco, Belton, Killeen, and Gatesville. I have an eleven year old daughter (Cassandra) who attends Midway Intermediate School. We live in Waco.
I received my degree from Concordia University in Seward, NE. BA in Theology and minor in Youth Ministry. I have a certification as a Director of Christian Education which was what my profession was before I became a classroom teacher. I am currently working on my masters from Tarleton State University in Education and Curriculum/Instruction. I am also obtaining a certification for Diagnostician in order to help determine where children's strengths and needs are in a school setting.
My favorite things to do during my free time include jetskiing, reading, walking, going to movies and playing games with my daughter, visiting friends and family, and walking barefoot on my green soft grass.

Howdy Tarver Pre-K Students and Parents! I am proud to be teaching another year here at The Terrific Tarver Elementary. I taught the most awesome bunch of 3rd graders last year here and thought that I would give Pre-K my ALL this year.
A bit about me: My husband and I graduated from Temple High School in 1990. Although I grew up a Wildcat, my background in education showed me that being a Belton Tiger was the way to go for our children. Therefore, our oldest daughter, Hana, attends Tarver as a Kindergartner and our youngest, Hailey (2 1/2) will when she is old enough. We enjoy dove hunting, fishing, camping, and being together with our friends and family.
I received and Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology from Austin Community College in 1994, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 1998, and I will graduate with a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction May 11, 2009!!! Whew...I have loved every minute so far as a Pre-K educator. My goal for my students is to enter Kindergarten ahead of the game academically and socially. Please come and see the great things that we are experiencing in Pre-K.

Hola, my name is Yvonne Ozuna-Herrera and I am originally from the beautiful city of San Antonio. I graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a BA in Psychology. I love children so much that I decided to become a teacher. I have been teaching in the Belton Independent School District (certified in grades EC-4th and ESL)
for three years and I love it.
I will be getting married at the end of this school year to a wonderful Army Officer with two beautiful little daughters, Aleshanee (2 1/2) and Caitlyn (1). We love riding our motorcycle, taking our boat out on the lake, going to the pool and parks, and taking our two pomeranians for walks.
I totally enjoy working with all my students and look forward to them learning new things all year. I get so excited seeing them succeed.
