Hello!

I'm Sandy Cunningham and I teach second grade here at Tarver Elementary. I am so excited as we begin our new school year!! We have a beautiful new building, a great staff, and many, many new tools to help us to learn and grow.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Texas in Austin. That was the place I met my wonderful husband. Now, our two terrific children are learning at that same university. We are a Longhorn family.

I have been teaching children for 18 years. I have taught in public and private school settings. I LOVE working with second graders!!! It is such a fun year of new learning and building upon skills that were gained in earlier years.

Hello! My name is Donna Ward.  I graduated from Tarleton State University in 2003, and will graduate in December 2008 with a Master's Degree in Educational Administration.  I have been teaching at Tarver for 2 years.  I previously taught at Ikego Elementary in Zushi, Japan.  I am excited to work with and challenge your child to reach his/her full potential.  This will be a year of growth in all areas of life-academically, socially, and mentally.  It is my goal to instill in ALL students that they can do anything in life through hard work, effort, and a positive attitude!

"The most important choice you make every day is your attitude"  Mark Batterson
