My name is Kaylen Echols and this is my second year teaching in the Early Education department at Tyler Elementary. I graduated from Texas A&M in 2008, WHOOP! Outside of teaching, I enjoy being active in my church, reading, hiking, kayaking, and gardening. I am very excited to be back at Tyler for another great year!
My name is Linda Rowlett. I am an aide working with the most wonderfully gifted children anywhere. I am a retired from the business world and found this wonderful life by accident. I graduated from Baylor University the last time in 2001. I have a houseful of grandchildren and a great dog, Behr. This will be my 2nd year at Tyler and I have never enjoyed a challenge as much as I enjoyed last year. I am anxiously awaiting school to start this year. See everyone then.
My name is Kristi Drennan. I received my degree in Early Childhood Education from Texas Tech University and have been teaching for 16 years. I enjoy spending time with my family. My favorite part about teaching is building relationships with students and watching their faces light up when they learn something!
My name is Jennifer Tonkinson and I have been at Tyler since we opened! I am originally from San Jose, California but graduated from the University of Iowa (Go Hawks!) I love being in the classroom with the most awesome students ever! I couldn't ask for a better job! In my spare time I enjoy swimming, watching football and spending time with my children.
Hello, my name is Rhonda Klaus. I have been teaching for 15 years – seven of which have been in Special Ed. Pre-K. I am married and have 2 children of my own, 11 and 9 and one who we are in the process of adopting who is 22 months. My husband is also a teacher and a coach. We are a very sports-oriented family, always going to one game or another. I am looking forward to another great year at Tyler.

Hola, my name is Rosemary Haas and I am beginning my fifth year teaching Bilingual Pre K. I absolutely love teaching Pre K. I am orginally from San Antonio. I spend whatever free timeI have with my son 12 year son, family, friends, reading, painting, and trying out new things. I am really excited about starting another school year here at Tyler!

Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Debbie Bell and I grew up in a small town at the foot of the Pocono Mts. in Pennsylvania. I spent the last 26 years in Texasteaching Pre-K, Kindergarten, and first grade children the love of reading. My husband of 24 years works for Sodexo at UMHB, and we have three sons: Jon, 19;Jacob,13; and Joel,10. Our family also includes aminiature Schnauzernamed Bruiser and Sprinkles a Calico. When I am not busy with family or church activities I enjoy reading, shopping, cooking, swimming, and watching movies. I love teaching kindergarten and look forward to a new exciting school year!"
My name is Tricia Scott and this is my fifth year at Tyler. I have taught school for 21 years, 17 of those in kindergarten, my love!!! I have 5 children, 2 BISD graduates and 3 BISD students and my husband is a former BISD teacher. I love to read, walk and spend time with my family. I am VERY excited about another fantastic year teaching the awesome students at Tyler Elementary. Hola! I am Beatrice Tovar. I am the Kindergarten bilingual teacher. I have been teaching at Tyler since it reopened as Tyler Elementary School. I have three children, all married and with children of their own. I am the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren. This summer I have spent moving around to be with them and have enjoyed every minute. I have taught in three school districts--Carnegie, Oklahoma for 10 years, Bartlett ISD for 10 years and this year will make 10 years with Belton ISD.Here's wishing everyone the best school year yet! My name is Sylvia Morales. This is my third year teaching at Tyler. I will be teaching Kindergarten this year. I went to the University of Monterrey in Mexico where Igot a bachelor's degreein Human Relationships.ThenIwent back to school to become certified as a bilingual teacher through Region XII. I like to read, to sing, to dance and to travel, specially to visit my family in Mexico. I am sure this will be another great school year here at Tyler, and I am grateful to bepart of it. My name is Karla Hammond and this is my second year at Tyler. This is my first year to teach Kindergarten at Tyler. I moved here last December from San Angelo, TX where I taught Kindergarten for 16 years. I am married to Coach Jeff Hammond at BMS. I have twin daughters, Bailey and Brooklyn Borger and three stepsons Braden, Carson and Easton Hammond. I enjoy spending time with my family and scrapbooking.
