Dear Parents/Guardians

We are already having a great deal of fun and learning here at Tyler. Thank you for all that you do to insure your child has a great day at school.

Here are few reminders:

-Please check your child's backpack daily for communication notes, homework and more.

-If your child is sick, let us know by phone (215-3700), and on the first day back at school, send a written note explaining why your child was absent.

-If you take your child to a medical appointment during school hours, ask for a school excuse.

-If your child is in PPCD, pre-K or Kindergarten, please keep a change of clothes in your child's backpack at all time.

-If you would like to volunteer your time, please let your child's teacher know. We always appreciate help from our parents.

-When you come visit during school hours, always stop by the front office, sign in and get a visitor badge.

Again, we appreciate you and thank you for your support.

Dear Students

We are so glad you are here with us at Tyler Elementary. Thank you for arriving in your class by 7:45 every morning.

Please remember to make plans with your parents for school pick up at 2:45 every afternoon.

Come to school prepared to learn and with all your supplies. That makes for a great day at school!

We are going to have a great year at Tyler and we are excited to have you here.

PTA Information

     Our PTA is open to any interested parent or family member who wishes to meet other Tyler families and help make our school GREAT!  We collect the membership dues at the beginning of the school year, but you are welcome to join our charter Tyler PTA at any time this year.  All interested people may attend meetings anytime whether you are a paid member or not.

       The PTA’s goal is to help parents, families, and the Tyler staff work together to make our school a fun, friendly, and educationally well-equipped place in which our children can learn about and prepare for our complex world.  We hope to help keep the lines of communication open between the staff and parents by providing meetings, parent contacts, and FUN family activities.  We also sponsor two Book Fairs and the “Reflections” contest during the school year.

       We generally have our evening PTA meetings on the second Monday of the month except for January.  Information that is sent home from PTA will be printed on gold paper.
