Henry T. Waskow High School
is an alternative high school of choice designed to meet the unique needs of students who may be considered at-risk of dropping out of high school in the Belton Independent School District. Students who elect to enroll at Waskow High School must follow the application process which begins with the Belton High School Counseling center.
Once a student is accepted at Waskow, he/she will work through a highly individualized, self-paced, accelerated curriculum which meets all of the requirements for award of a high school diploma in the State of Texas. Waskow High School is designed to serve students who, for various reasons, are seeking to accelerate their progress toward high school graduation.
Our school is named after Belton native, Captain Henry T. Waskow, who served and ultimately gave his life in the Second World War. We are the Waskow Rangers and we draw our motto from the United States Army Rangers: "Rangers lead the way!" Our goal is to equip students to be productive citizens, and successful learners who will carry habits of success into their chosen path after high school graduation, whether that be in college, technical school, the military, or in the full time work force.
Informational meetings for BHS students who would have an interest in attending Waskow High School are conducted every other Wednesday at Belton High School. For further information about the Waskow program, please contact your child’s counselor at Belton High School, or call the Waskow office at 215-2500.
