Project Update - May 2024

The 2022 Bond included funding for the improvements and renovations at Belton ISD’s Ag Barn. Belton ISD is proud to have an active FFA program, the fifth-largest FFA program in the state.
 
Following the passage of the 2022 Bond, Belton ISD’s project team collaborated with stakeholders to identify program requirements.The new facility will include approximately 10,600 square feet, with spaces to accommodate 40 swine and 12 poultry units. The facility is also master-planned to allow for future expansion. The target is completion prior to June 2024 for availability for animals in summer 2024. 

May 2024 Update: Site utility work is nearly complete. The concrete foundation was installed in May.  The metal building components were delivered and went vertical in late May 2024. The project is on schedule for substantial completion and opening of the new facility in Summer 2024.
