  • Project Update - May 2024

The 2022 Bond included funding for technology infrastructure improvements, as well as devices for students and staff.

    Infrastructure

Prop A addressed replacing out-of-date technology infrastructure so that Belton ISD can replace antiquated equipment, increase the network speed, and ensure a dependable network throughout the district. Belton ISD’s Technology Department collaborates with the Business and Finance Department to ensure the district maximizes all funding sources, including rebates from the federal government, before any purchases or improvements.

The district has applied for E-rate funding and is moving forward with the design and implementation of expanding our dark fiber network. This project is complete at Burrell Elementary and will take place in the spring of 2024 at Hubbard Branch Elementary.

    Devices

Prop B addressed purchasing new student and staff devices. Based on the age of the current items in circulation, the district plans to purchase additional student devices beginning in June 2024. These devices will replace all middle school student Chromebooks.
