• 2017 Bond

    In 2017, the Big Red Community approved a bond proposal for $149.7 million to provide:

    • A new high school
    • A new elementary school
    • Addition of music classrooms and a gymnaium at Lakewood Elementary
    • Updates to the Wall Street Auditorium in downtown Belton

    Cost Savings of $7.2 million will allow the district to invest in additional priority improvement projects that will directly benefit students.

    • Groundbreaking on January 8, 2018
    • Added gym, music classrooms and bathrooms
    • Ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 12, 2018

Pittenger Fine Arts Center Updates

  • Pittenger Fine Arts Center

    Cost: $2.2 million - Completed Fall 2018

    • Renovated 1966 facility to provide community with event and performance space
    • Renamed after longtime Board member Randy Pittenger
    • Dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 25, 2018
