    Principal-4-a-Day Overview

"Guest principals" are community leaders who will shadow a BISD principal and get an insider's look at the role of principal. The purpose of the program is to:

    • Increase awareness and understanding within the Big Red Community of schools in Belton ISD
    • Demonstrate the community's commitment to ensure exceptional learning experiences for each and every student in BISD
    • Strengthen communication between the schools and the communities they serve

    Who Can Participate?

Parents, business leaders, and civic leaders who wish to build relationships with the school community and learn about the operations in our public schools through an experience as a Principal-4-a-Day in Belton ISD. "Guest principals" will be required to follow security protocols and submit their driver's license when arriving on campus.

     How Does the Principal-4-a-Day Work?

On the day of the visit, the "guest principal" spends time with the principal, faculty, and students engaging in activities and learning about the school's day-to-day operations. The "guest principal" might observe a class, meet with the student council, attend student performances, read to students, shadow the principal, address a class assembly, or participate in other activities of choice.

At the end of the visit, all "guest principals" will convene with the superintendent Dr. Matt Smith and discuss their experiences and potential commitments, and plans for future involvement with their host school at a luncheon in their honor.

How is the "Guest Principal" Partnered with a BISD School?

They are matched with a pre-kindergarten, elementary, middle or high school based on the participant's areas of expertise and interests and the school's needs.
