Belton ISD

Melissa Lafferty joined Belton ISD as chief financial officer in February 2022. She is a certified public accountant with almost 20 years in accounting and financial management experience.

Melissa began her career in public accounting and performed governmental audits specializing in school financial audits. Over the last 12 years she has held multiple leadership roles in director of finance and chief financial officer positions at Killeen ISD, Lago Vista ISD and Marble Falls ISD.

She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. 

Melissa and her husband Ray have been married for 27 years and have a daughter, Bailey, who works as a certified public accountant in Temple.
