Mike Morgan
  • As assistant superintendent of operations, Mike Morgan works with departments providing student services and operational services for Belton ISD. He is nearing 30 years of working in education and has served in leadership and administrative roles since 2001.

    Mr. Morgan’s career in education began in 1995 when he accepted a teaching and coaching position at Gatesville ISD. He served as the district’s athletic director and head football coach for six years before moving to Belton in 2007 to coach football and track and teach government and economics at Belton High School. In the spring of 2008, Mr. Morgan was named assistant athletic director. He was named director of athletics in January 2017 before becoming assistant superintendent of student services in July 2019.

    Mr. Morgan graduated from Southwest Texas State University in December 1994, obtaining a bachelor's degree in exercise sports science with a minor in history. He earned a Master of Arts in athletic administration from Concordia University-Irvine in 2017 and is currently pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership from Texas Tech University.

    Mr. Morgan's wife, Becky, is a fourth-grade ELA teacher at Sparta Elementary. His children, Abbey and Seth, are both BHS graduates, classes of 2016 and 2022, respectively.
