School Board members typically meet the third Monday of every month in a board workshop meeting at 5:00 p.m. (usually in the Big Red Room at the Administration Building) followed by a regular board meeting at 6:15 p.m. in the Pittenger Fine Arts Center located at 400 N. Wall Street, Belton TX. Special meetings may be called when necessary. A written notice of all meetings will be posted at the Administration Building at least 72 hours before the scheduled meeting. The written notice will show the date, time, place, and subjects of each meeting. In emergencies, a meeting may be held with a one-hour notice. All meetings are open to the public. Under the following circumstances, Texas law permits the board to go into closed session to discuss: prospective gifts or donations, real property acquisition, personnel issues including conferences with employees and employee complaints, security matters, student discipline, or to consult with attorneys.
