Belton ISD is committed to providing financial transparency for all taxpayers. In this section, you will find essential budget and financial reports, along with other helpful links that provide additional financial information.
Visit Texas.gov/PropertyTaxes to find your local property tax database on which you can easily access information regarding your property taxes, including information regarding the amount of taxes that each entity that taxes your property will impose if the entity adopts its proposed tax rate. Your local property tax database will be updated regularly during August and September as local elected officials propose and adopt the property tax rates that will determine how much you pay in property taxes.

2025-2026 District Budget Adoption
The Belton Independent School District (ISD) Board of Trustees adopted the 2025-2026 fiscal year budget of $153,309,901 and a tax rate of $1.1494 per $100 of assessed value.
Key details from the adopted budget and tax rate include:
• Balanced Budget: The Board adopted a balanced budget
• Funding: The District received approximately $7.5 million in additional state funding.
• Expenditure Reduction: The District reduced expenditures by an additional $5.5 million.
• Staff Compensation: The budget provided significant raises for teachers, a 1% pay increase for non-teaching staff, and a $0.50 per hour raise for paraprofessional and auxiliary staff.
• Tax Rate: The adopted tax rate of $1.1494 is a $0 increase from the previous year's tax rate. It is composed of $0.7869 for maintenance and operations and $0.3625 for debt service.

According to reports and warnings from the Texas Association of School Boards and the Texas Association of School Business Officials, the publication of detailed information on school district websites containing vendors and amounts paid facilitates perpetrators to create sophisticated phishing schemes which appear legitimate. It remains the mission of Belton ISD to provide current, detailed and transparent information to our taxpayers. Therefore, we are providing the request form below as an expedited pathway for citizens to request the reports.
