Belton High School
The 2022 Bond included funding for Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Fine Arts additions at Belton High School, upgrades for the existing CTE spaces, and other capital improvements and renovations.
Following the passage of the 2022 Bond, the district collaborated with stakeholders to identify program requirements. Architectural design began in the fall of 2022 and was completed by O’Connell Robertson Architects in April 2023.
The projects included -
Fine Arts Addition:
A new band hall with ensemble and percussion and office and storage spaces for instruments, uniforms, and color guards.
Career and Technical Education (CTE) Addition:
Classroom spaces for ROTC, AV, and Culinary Programs, portrait/broadcasting/green studio spaces, and a kitchen and cafe.
Career and Technical Education (CTE) Renovation/Upgrades:
Upgrades to the construction shop, wood shop, and classrooms for agriculture and vet tech programs.
Final Completion Update: The Belton HS bond project will be presented to the Board at the Feb 2026 regular meeting with a request to accept the project as complete and issue final payment to the construction manager. The initial Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) was $31,072,221. The actual final construction cost was $29,080,699.17, representing a total savings of $1,991,521.83.
