The 2022 Bond included funding for classroom additions at Southwest Elementary, reducing the district’s dependence on long-term portable buildings to accommodate new students.

This elementary addition was designed following Belton ISD’s 2022 Educational Specifications, and includes ten classrooms, art and music rooms, and a new gymnasium. The addition also includes collaborative spaces for Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and teacher planning.

Final Completion Update: The Board accepted the Southwest Elementary bond project as complete at the January 2026 regular meeting. The initial Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) was $15,986,958. The actual final construction contract cost was $14,054,067, representing a total savings of $1,932,891.
