Technology

The 2022 Bond included funding for technology infrastructure improvements and devices for students and staff.

Infrastructure
Prop A addressed replacing out-of-date technology infrastructure so that Belton ISD can replace antiquated equipment, increase the network speed, and ensure a dependable network throughout the district. Belton ISD’s Technology Department collaborates with the Business and Finance Department to ensure the district maximizes all funding sources, including rebates from the federal government, before any purchases or improvements.

The district applied for E-rate funding and expanded the dark fiber network at Burrell and Hubbard Branch Elementary. The dark fiber project reached completion in June 2024.

Devices
Prop B addressed purchasing new student and staff devices. To ensure effective life cycle management practices, Belton ISD purchased student devices in a phased approach.

Devices distributed include:

  • 2023-2024 High Schools 4,483 Devices
  • 2023-2024 Elementary Schools 337 Charging Carts
  • 2024-2025 Middle Schools 3,400 Devices
  • 2025-2026 Elementary Schools 4,645 Devices
