Land for Future Use

Project Update - June 2025

The 2022 Bond included funding for future land purchases. 

• Belton ISD closed on 17.245 acres in April 2025 located on Charter Oak Drive in Temple Texas. The property is adjacent to +/- 61 acres already owned by the District creating an 80 acre site in the central region of the District that can be used to meet a variety of future needs. 
• Belton ISD closed on a future elementary school site in the River Farm Subdivision in April 2024. The almost 16-acre site will be ideal for a future BISD elementary school in the center of the future 1,800-lot subdivision.  
• Belton ISD closed in September 2023 on 433 North Beal Street, Belton, TX.  This strategic property will allow for uses that could impact the Belton Early Childhood School (BECS) and Belton New Tech High School @Waskow in the future.
