The mission of the BISD Special Programs Department is to provide guidance and empower the Big Red Community with knowledge and skills in order for students to pursue individual success. 

To be recognized as the department that supports the Big Red Community to ensure students with disabilities are provided equitable access to education/learning through an individualized continuum of services and supports.

The Special Programs Department believes all learners deserve a nurturing and inclusive educational environment that supports their individual strengths and needs.
