Welcome to Charter Oak Elementary, BISD’s newest public elementary school welcoming KG-5th grade students. In our first year, our enrollment will be less than 400 students and will steadily increase with the significant growth in the area. Our school is named after the historic Bell County Charter oak tree. In 1850, it was the location of the first elections for Bell County commissioners which resulted in the creation of Bell County. This spectacular tree stands tall and serves as the root of lessons that grow in the minds of students as we learn about the importance of citizenship and leadership through service and academic excellence. At Charter Oak Elementary we know that from little seeds grow mighty trees!
