Howdy, my name is Michelle Tish and this is my fourth year as Principal of Tarver Elementary. I am so thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful campus. I am excited to be at a campus that values treating children respectfully and focusing on the positive. We have a building full of staff willing to do whatever it takes to ensure that every child learns. Our teachers and staff are commitment to student success.
I am a graduate of Texas A & M University (Whoop!), with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics, and of Tarleton Central Texas, with a Masters in Education. I spent ten years in the business world working in retail management for H-E-B Grocery Company and sales for M&M Mars. I then went back to school to become a teacher. Before becoming Principal at Tarver, I taught for 9 years: the first 3 years in Bruceville-Eddy teaching 2nd grade, and the next 6 years teaching 6th grade English/Language Arts at Belton Intermediate School and Belton Middle School. I spent 3 years as an Assistant Principal in Belton ISD. The first two years at Southwest Elementary and the third year at Joe M. Pirtle Elementary. My first job as principal was at Leon Heights Elementary for two years before I moved to Tarver.
My husband, Dwight, and I have been married 30 years and have two children. Our daughter, Jamie, is a graduate of Belton ISD and Howard Payne University. She is married, expecting our first grandchild in November, and teaches 3rd grade in Azle ISD. Our son, Dustin, is an engineering student at Texas A&M University.
I hope to work in partnership with parents and teachers to ensure each student at Tarver Elementary reaches their highest potential. Please come by the office and say hello. You can reach me at 254-215-3800 or email@example.com
