United States Congressman John Carter made a special visit to Belton High School on Tuesday to present two 2019 Congressional Achievement Awards for Outstanding Students in Career & Technical Education (CTE).
“The Career and Technical Education Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the hard work of those students excelling in vocational training programs," said Carter. "Belton ISD has been a leader in CTE programs and I’m proud to join the students and faculty in presenting the 2019 Career and Technical Education Award to Matthew Pehl and Adrianna Schlaefer. Matthew and Adrianna are shining examples within their programs and I hope the community will join me in celebrating their success at the presentation on Tuesday.”
Carter's visit included student-led tours of the Tiger Media control room, TeamWorks construction area, culinary arts, and auto-tech spaces.
