A day before one of the final beams was hoisted into place at Lake Belton High School, hundreds of Belton ISD community members made their mark in history by signing their names on the steel piece.
Throughout the day, future classes of LBHS Broncos and their parents eagerly added their signatures and posed for pictures with hard hats and shovels. They even walked away with new LBHS car decals.
Construction workers also had the opportunity to sign the beam during the week.
The signing event preceded a special “Topping-Out” ceremony on Friday where over 200 construction workers and 100 community guests gathered in the future site of the gymnasium for a BBQ lunch, which was followed by a short program, and concluded with the ceremonial beam hoisting in front of the school’s main entrance.
