COVID-19 Response Plan for Start of School
Our back-to-school plans include measures for illness prevention, focusing on protecting against illnesses like the flu, COVID-19, and others. Belton ISD will remain in Scenario 1 of our COVID-19 Response Plan as we start the 2024-2025 school year. Students and staff are still expected to self-screen for symptoms. The updated Respiratory Virus Guidance recommends that people stay home and away from others until at least 24 hours after both their symptoms are getting better overall, and they have not had a fever (and are not using fever-reducing medication). Note that depending on the length of symptoms, this period could be shorter, the same, or longer than the previous guidance for COVID-19.
Remember, washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds is the most effective method of prevention.
