Meet Equella Underwood
Current title/school? Special Education inclusion teacher at Belton Middle School.
What inspires you to work in Belton ISD? I am inspired to work in Belton ISD because my son is a junior at Belton High School, and I want to be a part of the greatness that is BISD.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself. I moved to Texas almost four years ago due to my husband's military career. We have lived in several states, and I have had the opportunity to teach in several school districts, including a DoDEA school district. In high school and college, I was in the concert band where I played flute, piccolo and oboe. I was also a dancer in the marching band.
What was a pivotal moment in your career? A pivotal moment in my career was transitioning to middle school. I was in elementary but wanted to transition to secondary. BISD provided me with that opportunity, and I am so grateful for it!
Academics? Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Alabama A&M University and a Master of Education in special education from Liberty University.
