BEEF to Host Havana Nights Fundraising Event on Oct. 15
Supporters of Belton ISD are invited to kick back and spend a night in Havana — all for a good cause and without leaving Bell County.
The Belton Educational Enrichment Foundation is hosting its annual red carpet event, Havana Nights, on Oct. 15 at Schoepf’s BBQ in Belton. Doors will open at 6 p.m. The event includes dinner, silent and live auctions, plus music by Texas country singer Jared Johnson. Tickets can be purchased at https://bit.ly/3x9tJNf.
“It’s going to be so much fun and you get the bonus of supporting kids and staff in Belton ISD,” said Annette Farmer, BEEF’s event chair. “The Havana Nights theme will run throughout, with Cuban-inspired foods, drinks, music, decor — even a couple of classic cars. Guests can expect bright colors, dancing, music and lots of fun.”
BEEF was founded in 1992 by BISD alumni to enhance the quality of education for all students in Belton ISD. In 2022, the organization awarded more than $285,000 in scholarships to Belton High School and Belton New Tech @Waskow seniors. BEEF also presented almost $91,000 in grants to teachers in 2021 to support projects like purchasing PE equipment and bilingual books and offsetting the cost of starting an esports team.
“This is going to be a wonderful evening with a purpose,” Farmer said. “Get your tickets today and then dust off your fedoras and flower dresses!”
