Belton High School Wall of Honor Ceremony

Belton High School alumni Allie Angell and Makenna Morrow are set to be bestowed with the campus' most esteemed athletic honor on May 18, 2024, as they are formally inducted into the Belton High School Athletic Wall of Honor.

Members of the community are invited to join us in commemorating excellence and legacy on Saturday, May 18, 2024. The event will take place at Belton High School Gym foyer, located at 600 Lake Road in Belton. Festivities commence with a meet and greet with past inductees at 9 a.m., followed by the ceremony at 10 a.m.

The Wall of Honor Committee works through an extensive process for naming Wall of Honor candidates and plans a ceremony to celebrate the athletes’ accolades. This year, Belton ISD is proud to honor the outstanding achievements of these two exceptional individuals.

Allie Angell, a native of Temple, Texas, excelled on the Belton High School soccer field, leading her team to four district championships and achieved a remarkable record of 62-14-7. With 62 shutouts in 83 career games, Angell's defensive skills were instrumental in her team's success. Named First Team All-State by the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches (TASCO), she also earned recognition as a leader and team player, showcasing resilience and selflessness both on and off the field under the guidance of Coach Oscar Bersoza.

Makenna Morrow, a standout student-athlete at Belton High School, excelled both academically and athletically, earning Academic All-District honors every year and achieved Academic All-State recognition from TASCO and the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA). As a four-year letter winner and varsity soccer team captain, Morrow's leadership was instrumental in the team's success. Despite challenges like a shortened freshman season due to the pandemic, she garnered numerous accolades, including District Most Valuable Player in her junior and senior years. Morrow's impact extended beyond personal achievements, contributing to the team's impressive record of 62 wins, 14 losses, and seven ties, cementing her legacy as one of the "Greats" of Lady Tiger Soccer.

Please join us as we celebrate their accomplishments and contributions to Belton ISD. The Athletic Wall of Honor celebrates athletic accomplishments from 1909 and beyond.
