At approximately 9 a.m. this morning, a medical emergency occurred at High Point Elementary School in Temple, TX. Following our emergency protocols, staff swiftly responded with the support of emergency responders. A Kindergarten student was transported to Baylor Scott and White McClain Children's Medical Center. We are heartbroken to announce our student passed away this afternoon.

The entire Belton ISD community is deeply saddened by this tragedy and extends its heartfelt condolences to the family of our student. Counseling services have been made available to students and staff and will continue in the weeks ahead.
