BELTON, TX — Sydnie Sewell has been announced as the new principal of Chisholm Trail Elementary School in Belton ISD. Sewell has been serving as assistant principal at Anderson-Shiro Junior High since July 2023. Before that, she taught middle school English Language Arts and Reading and was the English as a Second Language Coordinator.

“Ms. Sewell is an outstanding leader and educator. Her passion for student learning and parent engagement will positively impact the Chisholm Trail Elementary community,” Denise Sharp, BISD executive director of campus leadership for elementary campuses, said. “She will provide exceptional student experiences through family collaboration and take Chisholm Trail Elementary to new heights of success. We are excited to have Ms. Sewell join the BISD family.

Sewell earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master of Education in Curriculum from Texas A&M University.

Sewell will begin her new role on July 15.
