Belton ISD Board Approves 2024-2025 Budget and Tax Rate

At their regular meeting on August 19, the Belton ISD Board of Trustees approved the budget and tax rate for the 2024-2025 fiscal year.

The approved budget of $150,859,691 represents a one percent increase over the previous fiscal year, mainly due to rising operating costs. To address declining revenues and support a one percent pay increase for staff, expenditures were reduced by $4,947,822. Belton ISD is committed to investing in its staff and aims to remain competitive in attracting and retaining top talent.

The Board of Trustees also approved a reduced tax rate for the sixth consecutive year. The new rate of $1.1494 per $100 of assessed value includes $0.7552 for maintenance and operations and $0.3942 for debt service, marking a $0.0023 decrease from last year’s rate. Detailed information on the proposed budget and tax rate can be found on the Belton ISD Financial Transparency webpage.
