When district leaders gathered to begin planning for the 2020-2021 school year, we knew we were in uncharted territory with a situation where our “knowns” and “unknowns” were changing rapidly. What we learned in Spring 2020 was that our plan moving forward needed to allow for quick pivots as external conditions shifted - all without losing focus on our values and commitment to each and every student. Out of a multi-step, design thinking process came the Response Plan outlined at www.bisd.net/responseplan.
With the September 8 start of school approaching, here are the next steps we need your family to take:
Please review www.bisd.net/responseplan to learn more about the district’s System Response Guide and details about our At-School and At-Home learning environments.
Be prepared to submit the Learning Environment Commitment Form in Skyward Family Access between August 4-10 to indicate whether your student will participate in At-School Learning or At-Home Learning.
After reviewing details about each learning environment, do you have additional questions? Submit them at https://bit.ly/2PlIPJi to help guide future communication from the district.
Thank you for your patience as district leaders have fine-tuned the details of Belton ISD’s plan for the upcoming school year. Whether your student attends school At-School or At-Home - we look forward to providing exceptional learning opportunities this school year!
