Deliberations Continue Over Top Core Competencies Desired In Belton ISD Students
Deliberations continued among members of Belton ISD’s Journey of a Graduate design team as the group gathered for its third virtual meeting on Dec. 9.
In breakout groups, members discussed the pros and cons of the competencies that rose to the top in both the individual voting and group discussions during meeting 2 and then worked on drafting definitions of the top six competencies – adaptability, collaboration, communication, critical thinking, empathy and perseverance. This collaborative discussion concluded with team members providing feedback on initial hand drawn examples of a potential visual for the district’s Journey.
The design team will collaborate together in a final virtual meeting on Jan. 6.
