Community Input Fuels Strategic Plan Work

About 80 parents, teachers, staff and tax papers joined Belton ISD leaders for three Community Summits held last week.

The goal of the meetings was to glean insight into what community members felt was most important as the district moves forward with the creation of a strategic plan.

“As a district, we’re working to set the direction for the future of Belton ISD, a future that continues our tradition of excellence for each and every student,” Golden said. “We are so grateful to how our community engaged and participated in these important conversations.”

In addition to the Community Summits, the district solicited input from the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council and through a ThoughtExchange, where all community members were asked to share their thoughts and rate those shared by others in response to the question:

What sort of future do you envision for our district? What will help us get there, and what might hold us back.

The Strategic Plan Steering Team will analyze all the community feedback collected to identify topics that warrant deeper conversations. Planning Teams of students, staff, parents and community representatives will be created to further work through these topics and make recommendations to the Steering Team.
